How the Daily Challenge works

The daily sequence is generated from the UTC date and the round number. That means the same round is shown to every player on the same day, regardless of when they open the game or which device they use.

The challenge always has ten rounds:

• Rounds 1–3 use the Easy character pool.
• Rounds 4–7 use the Medium character pool.
• Rounds 8–10 use the Hard character pool.

The early rounds give you room to build confidence. The final three rounds are deliberately less predictable, so a good daily score rewards judgment rather than a single lucky guess.

What happens in each round?

Each round presents a small group of characters and asks you to choose the one with the highest popularity count. In Daily mode, one count is visible before you answer and the other count stays hidden. Once you choose, every count is revealed and the result panel shows whether your answer was correct.

Correct answers increase your streak and add the round score to your total. A wrong answer resets the streak, but the challenge continues to the next round. This is the key difference between Daily mode and Endless or Hard mode: the daily result measures the whole ten-round performance, not just the point where a run ends.

How Daily scoring works

Every correct answer earns points from four parts:

1. Difficulty score: Easy, Medium, and Hard rounds are worth 100, 150, and 250 base points respectively.
2. Speed bonus: A quick answer can add up to 50 points. The bonus decreases over the first 10 seconds.
3. Streak bonus: Consecutive correct answers add 10 points for each level after the first, up to a 100-point cap.
4. Close-call bonus: When the top two counts are close, the matchup is worth more. This bonus can reach 50 points.

The score is calculated only after a correct answer. A wrong answer gives no points for that round and starts the next streak at zero. Because the difficulty curve and scoring rules are fixed, two players can compare not only how many answers they got right, but also how efficiently they handled difficult and close matchups.

A simple strategy for a stronger result

The best daily strategy is not to rush every round. The speed bonus matters, but losing a streak costs more than taking an extra moment to check your reasoning.

Start by reading the visible count as evidence, not as a guaranteed answer. Think about the character's franchise, whether the character is central or secondary, how long the fandom has been active, and whether a familiar name might be associated with several different sources.

When the answer feels obvious in the first three rounds, use those rounds to build a streak. From round four onward, pay more attention to the size of the gap between the characters. In the final three Hard rounds, a measured decision is usually better than a reflexive click.

If you miss a round, do not let the mistake decide the rest of the challenge. The streak is gone, but the next nine or fewer rounds still count toward your accuracy and total points. Treat the reveal as useful information and reset your decision process before continuing.

When should you play?

The Daily Challenge refreshes at midnight UTC. Playing early lets you form your own opinion before seeing community discussions, while playing later gives you more time to think about character trends and compare notes with friends.

There is no gameplay advantage to waiting. The questions are fixed for the UTC date, and the scoring timer starts when the round is ready, so page loading time does not reduce your speed bonus.

Share the result

After all ten rounds, the result screen shows your correct-answer count and total points. You can copy a compact result with a ten-square answer grid, then share it without revealing the character matchups themselves.

That format makes the daily game easy to discuss while keeping the challenge meaningful for players who have not played yet. If you want to improve, keep an eye on both numbers: accuracy tells you how often your judgment was right, while total points shows how well you handled speed, streaks, difficulty, and close calls together.
